Tania Mitakidis, wife and mother of three, began her journey in the textiles and fashion industry over fourteen years ago.
During this time, Tania gained immeasurable experience as a store owner, bridal designer and now, as the founder and director of luxury textile company, Lace and Embroidery. Tania’s love and knowledge of the textile industry, meshed with motherhood led to the beginnings of a long-held dream, Selene Atelier.

Our store is located in Ramsgate, Sydney. You can visit us to see our collection in person, try on gowns, and receive personalised assistance in choosing the perfect outfit.
Yes! We can customise gowns to suit your preferences, including fabric choices, embroidery details, and personalised touches.
For custom bespoke gowns, we recommend enquiring at least 6 months in advance to allow time for consultation, design and production. Yes! We offer online shopping, and we ship both within Australia and internationally.
Our gowns come in various sizes suitable for newborns up to toddlers. We can also create custom sizes if needed.
Consultation appointments are available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for custom consultations and online collection viewings. Wednesday walk-ins are welcome between 9:30am and 1:00pm to view our online preorder collection - no appointment needed.

Yes! We offer matching bonnets, booties, bibs, head bows, bow ties, and other accessories to complete your child’s christening outfit.
We use only high-quality fabrics, including organic, breathable cotton that is soft and gentle for direct contact with a baby’s skin. Our gowns also feature fine lace and embroidery. None of our fabrics are mass-produced; every detail is crafted specifically for our designs.
Due to the custom nature of our gowns, we do not accept returns or exchanges. However, if there is an issue with your order, please contact us, and we’ll do our best to assist.
We don’t offer traditional payment plans, but we do have Zip Pay and Afterpay available to help make your purchase more manageable. Contact us for details.
We recommend using only bridal dry cleaners to ensure the delicate fabrics and embroidery are properly cared for. If you need a recommendation, reach out to us, and we can provide the contact details of our preferred specialist who works with many of our clients’ gowns.
